I first met Emily & Chris last year at Katie & Craig's wedding at Rogerthorpe Manor and it was a real privilege to be part of their big day.
Chris had decided to have no less than 3 best men, which was great for me because it gave me the opportunity to try out a few new ideas. Thankfully, the lads were great sports and willing to have a go at anything, even though one of them was on crutches.
Oulton Hall is the perfect wedding venue, with its beautiful gardens, grand staircases and elegant rooms. The possibilities are endless for stylish, romantic photos of the happy couple. Even the corridors are lit by elaborate chandeliers and make stunning backdrops. Emily and Chris were keen to make the most of the incredible surroundings and, because it was an early ceremony, we had plenty of time to do it.
Emily is a talented musician and surprised Chris by performing a song she had written specially for their wedding day. It all got a bit emotional (even my camera lens started to mist up at one point) but she managed to get through it - just!
A cracking day from start to finish and a wonderful couple (and not forgetting their lovely son, Charlie, who was the subject of a large pecentage of the photos). Thanks to them and all their family and guests for making it such an enjoyable day.
