Sally & Craig are both showbiz pros (Sally is a dancer and Craig is a promoter / musician / actor) so I wasn't surprised to find a very relaxed, chatty Craig when I arrived at his house on Saturday morning. Unfortunately, that all changed when the Best Man, Jamie, arrived and promptly emptied the fridge of anything edible. Craig suddenly became nervous and by the time the car arrived, he'd gone very quiet.
The ceremony and reception were held at Bertie's in Elland, which is a beautiful converted Victorian chapel.
In a break with tradition, Sally was escorted up the aisle by her & Craig's hyperactive son, Ted (I'll have a pint of whatever he's on!).
After the short ceremony, we ushered everyone outside for the group photos and, thankfully, the weather forecast was wrong again and we didn't get wet as expected.
Sally & Craig were great sports and, given half a chance, would have spent all day posing for photos.
The dining room at Bertie's is spectacular and the food is exceptionally good as well. We managed to blag some left-over salmon and a large wedge of cheesecake, which was rather nice!
Thanks to the happy couple for a fun day which helped ease me gently into the new wedding season.
